There are many ways to help charities with their fund raising. They don't have to be hard work and they are nearly always satisfying and enjoyable.
Many charities and charitiable causes really do need your help. Whether you are able to help as a volunteer or simply help to raise funds for a charitable cause, your participation makes a real difference.
A few years ago I started thinking about the number of disabled people in their wheel chairs that I regularly saw in the local high street with their helpers.
What struck me was the thought 'where do these disabled people go at night?'.
What I then found out was that many of these people were being looked after by charities and volunteer helpers who were mostly unpaid. They were making a real difference to the lives of the people in need.
This led me to wanting to help in some way. A chance encounter in a coffee shop led to the setting up of Explosion Entertainments CIC which has the purpose of helping charitable causes with their fundraising events.
Raising money for charity has a similar purpose and one of it's objectives is to encourage people to find ways to help local and national charities. Apart from being good fun, it it is an ideal way to introduce children to the idea of helping those who are less well off than they are.
