Raising money by a bike ride
Organise bike rides for families, friends, schools as appropriate.
Find a safe enjoyable place for the event. One good way to fo this is to look at what the National Cycle Network offers.
They have over 12,000 miles of walking and cycle routes which are free of traffic. And 75% of the UK population live within two miles of a route. Check out the Sustrans website for details.
Especially in holiday sites and tourist areas, you are able to rent bikes for as long as you need them.
Always make sure that you can handle punctures and basic repairs to your bike. It can ruin the day if one person has a bike problem and cannot fix it for want of simple tools or a puncture repair kit!
