Raising money by a coffee morning

A coffee morning can be fun to organise. They can be held in a home or a church hall or any appropriate place. You can charge people for their drinks. Have other drinks available, tea and soft drinks for example.
You can ask people to bring cakes, biscuits etc and then sell them, either by the slice or even for the whole cake!

You can hold a raffle and sell the tickets to the people at the event.

Hold a tombola. Of course you want to get the prizes donated from individuals or local shops. Other ideas include having a book stall or a cake stall. Make sure that organise the coffee morning events to be appropriate for the number of people you have invited or expect to turn up! Also consider the location of the event, don't plan for 40 people to turn up when the event is in your front room and the maximum number of people you can get in there is 10!

The important point is that people should be able to enjoy the event. Don't play loud music or do anything that would stop people from talking to each other.
