Wine tasting
A wine tasting event is easy to organise and can make some money for your charitable cause. It also introduces people to a variety of wines that they may not know very much about.
The first step is to book a provisional date for a wine testing session with one of the specialist companies providing this service.
You then need to book sufficient people to attend the event, charging them enough to pay for the service and to make a sufficient profit. This profit is of course the money that is given to the charitable cause.
As the organiser of the event, please check that those people driving are aware that even tasting enough wines can put them over the legal alcohol limit, especially if they have alcohol as part of a meal earlier in the evening.
Wine tasting and eduction
There are a number of companies who offer corporate and private wine tasting sessions, both in their own premises and at an organised event. In fact wine tasting sessions can be the fundraising event itself! A raffle or promises auction may also be part of the event - after the winetasting of course!
Sales of wine
The organisers of the winetasting event would normally take orders for the wines being tasted. See if you can get a commission from the organisers of the event. It all helps to boost the total amount collected!
